New Design Up, Complete With Bugs!

I am truly excited to have the new site design up (it was created by the lovely and talented Kimberly Coles, who I highly recommend). There are currently a few bugs in the system that we are working through (a result of my dev team integrating WordPress with Kimberly’s design, which is a complicated process. Plus, since my dev team is in eastern Europe, we’ve been working around the time-change, to boot). So for a few days, things might look a little weird. I can assure you I’m acutely aware of the problems, and we’re working to fix it.

And the second things get normal, I will post some new entries.

In the meantime, here’s another cute bunny photo to tide you over.

He's so adorable, I no longer care that my analytics aren't reporting right.

Thanks for your patience, folks.

    I love the new banner!

  • LOVE the new design. Well done!

I love the new design. I am guessing that the post with your friends on parenting is a featured post? It’s taking some getting used to, but the design is very functional.

  • I’m loving the new look. I know that rebranding can be tough, but it truly is worth it! Keep up the awesome! I will be sure to keep reading while you work out the kinks of the new look!

  • Great new design, I really like it!

  • I stumbled across your blog a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been reading it regularly ever since, but I’ve never left a comment. I wanted to write one now just to say thanks. Thanks for being awesome and funny and inspiring and for sharing your stories with the world! Your posts always brighten my day. So thanks.

Oh, and the new site design is splendid.

  • The new site looks awesome. And I greatly appreciate the bunnies. Much better than the horrid googly-eyed sheep heads, which have recently been involved in some pretty bizarre nightmares!

I really should have put a warning up before posting that photo.

You totally should have. I don’t even understand why anyone would want one for a pet!

    Absolutely love the new design!!!!!

  • Your header is so pretty. And I love the color choices! Well done.

  • After the posts are fixed, i hope you’ll remove the sticky post as well.

Honestly, I like the old design better. the gray tinted icons at the top of the page doesn’t seem to attract me for some reason.

  • I love the new design, I love the stamp-like page categories, the colors are great, the pressed look is phenomenal and even the favicon is simply dope. I like how everything looks like it has been uniquely touched, from the newsletter subscription to the popular stories widget. Kudos to your designer for interpreting a great vision.

The only thing I would enhance is the like buttons at the bottom of a post, customizing those to the page would round out the feel.

Looooooove the new design! It keeps all the playfulness of your first one and adds a whole new pumped up dimension of everywhere-ness.
