Rainy Days, Sunny Dispositions in Ireland.

When we were in Ireland, it rained.

Like, a lot.

It rained as we wandered through the streets of Cork, and it rained as we explored Elizabeth Fort. After a while, we started feeling downtrodden and melodramatic, weighed down by the grey skies and our sopping wet clothing.

“So, should we stay here and enjoy this rain, or move 20 feet over and enjoy that rain?”

So we took some photos, because what good is a foul mood if you can’t preserve it for posterity?

You would not believe how hard it was to convince him to get in the stocks. Like I’d LEAVE him there or something. (I mean, I might, but only until it ceased to be funny. An hour or two, tops.)

But one of us wouldn’t mind the rain at all. He just laughed it off, warming himself and anyone in a 50-foot radius with his smile.

Maybe it’s nature. Maybe it’s nurture. Maybe, when you are named after a city in Brazil, you carry the sun with you wherever you go.
