Not that there isn't hope mind you, but you'll need to be patient. Sometimes when people like your obtuse brother have children, and those children grow into their teens and pick up most of that inconsiderate behavior, a switch will flick on in your brother's brain and suddenly he'll "get it"....so I guess you better hope that he and his wife start procreating soon....unless they already have kids, in which case you should encourage the little ones to start being lazy and inconsiderate right away.
