10 photos from New York: Skylines and Smooches
Last month, we spent a few days in New York before heading to Boston. The weather cooperated, the cupcakes were plentiful, and I remembered why one of my favorite cities in the world is precisely that. Here are ten photos from our adventures in Manhattan.
- The theater district, afternoon sun.
–The weather was irritatingly perfect. Gave us Seattlites nothing to talk about.
–
- Kissing in Times Square. Again.
–Promise me this will always happen, okay, love?
–
- Celeb sighting: Ban Ki-Moon and Mayor Bloomberg. They were speaking about transportation safety.
–This paled in comparison to when I saw the guy who played Kevin Arnold's dad on "The Wonder Years", the very next day.
–
- Afternoon affirmation, The MoMA cafe.
–Rand's grandfather filled this out. We could not stop laughing.
–
- Pier to nowhere, Liberty Island.
I suck at geography. Let's just call that landmass in the distance "New Jer-York-Lyn."
- Arched windows, Tribeca.
–It was one of those afternoons that was so pretty, we talked of moving to Tribeca. Then we sobered up.
–
- Graffiti mantra.
–I assure you, I am trying.
–
- Ellis Island architecture.
–She didn't say much.
–
- New Yorker Hotel sign.
–A reminder. As though we might forget where we were.
–
- Askance glace.
–I can't tell if he was weary or wary.
